Akira Toriyama, creator of the manga and anime “Dragon Ball,” has died at the age of 68, it was announced Friday.
According to an announcement by Bird Studio Inc. and Capsule Corporation Tokyo, the funeral was held only with his next of kin.
Toriyama made his debut in 1978. Toriyama debuted in 1978 and has produced such hits as “Dr. Slump” and “Dragon Ball. A new anime series “Dragon Ball DAIMA” is scheduled to be broadcast this year.
