Warner Bros. Japan LLC has officially announced the production of the anime Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, based on the seventh part of the popular manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki. Along with the announcement, the company also released teaser visuals, character artwork, and a promotional video.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run is set in late 19th-century America and follows a historic cross-country horse race. At the center of the story are Johnny Joestar, a former horse-racing prodigy who is now paralyzed, and the mysterious outlaw Gyro Zeppeli. As they join forces and advance through the race, they face not only fierce competition for a massive cash prize but also a hidden conspiracy that gradually unfolds. The original manga was serialized from January 2004 to April 2011.
At this time, the broadcast schedule and animation studio have not been announced.
