Bandai Namco Entertainment is set to release Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, a multiplayer cooperative action game, on October 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the Steam version will be available starting October 4.
This title is the latest installment in the Sword Art Online (SAO) home console game series, based on the light novel Sword Art Online by Reki Kawahara.
In the game, various characters from the SAO series return, transcending their memories to reunite once again. For the first time in the home console game series, the story mode will follow a narrative set in the same world as the original light novel and anime. Additionally, online-only modes, such as the “Co-Op Quest” and “Boss Raid”, allow up to 20 players to team up and enjoy the game together.
