Following advice from his friend Yuto Hiyaya, Urino investigates a string of suspicious fires in the city and writes a column predicting the location of the next one. Meanwhile, Jogoro Kobato, who happens to witness a car fire by the riverbank, realizes that the vehicle was used in a kidnapping case from last summer. He calls Kengo Dojima, the head of the newspaper club, to look into Osanai’s activities, suspecting that she may be interfering with the club.

About Shoushimin Series Season 2
“Shoushimin Series” by Honobu Yonezawa is a mystery novel series first published in 2004. It follows high school students Kōbato Jōgorō and Osanai Yukino solving everyday mysteries. The series has four main books, followed by short stories and a manga adaptation. A TV anime was also made, with season 2 airing in 2025.
