Hirohiko Araki, the Creator of JoJo, Presents New Art for the YEBISU BEER Event

An exhibition titled “Exploring YEBISU Through Bijin-ga,” featuring newly illustrated bijin-ga paintings by Hirohiko Araki, the creator of the manga series “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure,” will be held at YEBISU BREWERY TOKYO from February 13 to May 31. This special event commemorates the 135th anniversary of Sapporo Breweries’ YEBISU BEER, and exclusive original beer and merchandise will also be available at the venue.

“Exploring YEBISU Through Bijin-ga” is a collaborative exhibition between YEBISU BEER, celebrating its 135th anniversary, and Hirohiko Araki, a manga artist who has captivated fans both in Japan and internationally for over 40 years with his unique style. The exhibition will showcase a collection of bijin-ga posters that trace the historical evolution of YEBISU BEER’s artistic legacy.

Additionally, Araki’s newly created bijin-ga paintings, which incorporate a modern interpretation, will be displayed in a striking 3-meter-high format. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the vibrant world depicted on the “YEBISU BEER Hirohiko Araki Original Design Can,” set for release on February 12.

Furthermore, the venue will offer a limited-edition original beer, “The Successor,” inspired by Araki’s works, alongside exclusive merchandise such as T-shirts and clear files featuring his original designs. This exhibition promises to be a must-see event for fans of Hirohiko Araki.
